Call for Papers

We invite submissions to LT4CPR: Language Technologies for Crisis Preparedness and Response, a workshop at AACL 2026. The workshop focuses on advancing speech and language technologies that support crisis preparedness, disaster risk reduction, and crisis response, especially in multilingual and low-resource settings.

LT4CPR aims to bridge NLP research, local language technologies, and real-world humanitarian impact.

Submission Tracks

Two tracks are available. All deadlines are 23:59 AoE (Anywhere on Earth). For Track 1 (Research Papers), authors may choose archival or non-archival submission. Long and short papers must follow ACL 2026 formatting guidelines.

Track 1A · Research Papers
Via ACL Rolling Review (ARR)

Submit through ARR, then commit your reviewed paper to LT4CPR via OpenReview by the commitment deadline.

Submit directly through Softconf. Papers undergo full peer review by the program committee. Already-published work may be submitted non-anonymized with a link to the original publication.

Track 2 · Field Reports
Via Direct Submission (Softconf)

For practitioners, NGOs, humanitarian organizations, and field experts. Includes experience reports, position papers, and talk proposals. Submissions are non-anonymized and reviewed for relevance and impact.

Presentation and Publication

All accepted submissions are invited for presentation at the workshop. Only archival research papers (Track 1, archival option) and shared task papers are published in the ACL Anthology. Non-archival research papers, already-published work, and Field Reports (Track 2) are presented at the workshop but do not appear in the proceedings.
